How does EBANX process personal data? EBANX takes your privacy very seriously and is committed to securing your personal data throughout your journey in our recruitment process. The purpose of this Notice is to explain how your personal data will be collected, used, and shared, as well as to inform you how you can exercise your rights as a data subject and maintain control over your information.
1. Commitment to the security of your personal data
EBANX protects your personal data throughout your entire journey in our recruitment process. We are committed to the security of your data during your experience on the platform. Therefore, your personal data will be kept in the strictest confidence and will not be sold, exchanged, or disclosed to any third parties, except in the cases expressly set forth in this Notice.
2. Data Controller
EBANX is responsible for processing your personal data, acting as the Data Controller under applicable legislation, including but not limited to Brazilian Law No. 13.709/2018 ("LGPD").
3. Personal Data Collected
During the recruitment process, we may collect the following categories of personal data through your resume and/or your social media profiles (e.g.: LinkedIn), and/or during interviews:
● Identification data: full name.
● Contact data: address, email, phone number.
● Professional data: employment history, academic background, qualifications, certificates, skills, salary expectations.
● Performance data: test results and assessment.
● Other data: information you choose to provide in your resume or during interviews.
If you provide your consent, we will also collect information related to your race, gender, sexual orientation, and whether you are a person with disabilities (PwD). In addition to the data mentioned above, EBANX, as an entity regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil, may conduct background checks on candidates at a specific stage of the selection process. Such checks may include (i) criminal record and lawsuit searches, and (ii) credit checks, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screenings, corporate partnership documents, and family member conflict of interest reviews.
4. Purposes of Data Processing
The personal data collected will be used for the following purposes:
● To assess your eligibility and qualifications for the position.
● To communicate with you during the recruitment process.
● To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
● To improve our recruitment and selection processes.
5. Data Sharing
We may share your personal data with:
● Service providers who assist us in the recruitment process, such as recruitment agencies and HR consulting firms.
● Government authorities, when required by law or regulation.
6. Data Security
We are committed to the security of your data and put forth all necessary efforts to mitigate the risks of destruction, accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, or any other form of inappropriate processing or misuse of personal data. To guarantee security, EBANX adopts solutions that take into account: (i) appropriate techniques and technology; (ii) the nature, scope, and purposes of the processing; (iii) the criticality and sensitivity of the data processed; and (iv) the risks to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects.
7. Data Retention
Your personal data will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, or as required by law. If you are not hired, your data may be kept for one (1) year for future opportunities, unless you request otherwise through the EBANX Privacy Portal.
8. Your rights, options, and controls
You have rights and guarantees regarding your personal data. These rights may vary depending on the country where you are located and where the personal data was collected. Through the EBANXPrivacy Portal, we provide mechanisms to ensure clarity and transparency in exercising your rights. In general, candidates for job openings at EBANX have the right to:
● Confirm the existence of the processing of their personal data;
● Know what personal data is being processed and access it;
● Correct or request the correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated personal data;
● Understand the reasons behind the processing;
● Know which entities their data has been shared with;
● Request a review of decisions made solely on the automated processing of their data;
● In certain cases, request anonymization, blocking, or erasure of personal data that is excessive, unnecessary, or processed in non-compliance with data protection laws; and
● Withdraw consent, where applicable. Before responding to any request to exercise the rights mentioned above, we may ask you to provide certain information to confirm your identity. Please note that these rights are not absolute and may not apply in certain circumstances. For example, in some cases, we may continue to process personal data regardless of your request for erasure, blocking, or anonymization in order to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, protect and exercise our rights, or as otherwise permitted by law.
